Therapy
Getting to know ourselves can be one of life’s most powerfully transformative experiences. As we discover a sense of curiosity about who we are, and who we might become, we begin to explore both known and unknown aspects of our personalities. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to address past and present factors which may be stopping us from tapping into these uniquely meaningful parts of ourselves, unlocking their potential and helping us overcome traumatic or wounding life experiences to restore a sense of possibility and aliveness. By allowing us to enter a safe, confidential and ethical relationship with a therapist, it also invites us to observe ourselves in interaction with others, paying attention to our language, thoughts, emotions, feelings and dreams, whilst becoming increasingly aware of negative yet unconsciously repeated patterns of behaviour and attachment.
The process may be long or short, occasionally challenging or painful, but by making contact with our own limitless capacity for internal and external growth, it can also provide a conduit to a richer, more rewarding and more creative life.
