Couple therapy can be a useful space for exploring the underlying dynamics of relationship difficulties. Both partners are encouraged to express themselves as openly as possible, identifying new and more effective ways of communicating their needs to each other. These needs might be of an emotional or psychological nature, but needs for intimacy and sexual contact are equally explored in a safe, sensitive and non-judgmental environment. Some relationship blocks may stem from experiences in childhood or adolescence, and these reflections are also incorporated into the work where appropriate.

The goals of couple therapy include better communication, increased trust and a deeper understanding of each partner’s thoughts, feelings, hopes, motivations and attachment styles.

Therapy for couples is offered either once or twice per week, in long-term, open-ended work, or short-term blocks of between 6 and 16 sessions, formulated according to individual needs after an initial consultation.

Couples of all gender identifications and sexual orientations are welcome.
